Pretty Little Summer Dresses

Winter has been dragging on here in Milwaukee, that damn groundhog lied big time!  There hasn't really been any sign of spring at all that is except in the stores.  Everywhere I look I see cute clothes meant for much warmer temperatures.  Shorts! Swimsuits! Tank tops! Mini skirts! All the clothes meant to show some skin, to feel the warmth of sunshine yet I am here still bundling up in heavy jackets, scarves, gloves and yes the snow is still making appearances.  Now I'm not trying to complain to much, yes I am tired of the snow and cold but it is only the middle of March.  I have decided that instead of complaining I would start building up my spring/summer wardrobe one piece at a time.  A cute lace edged polk-a-dot tank top here, a lightweight 3/4th sleeve Briton striped sweater there, and a few fun, flirty, summer dresses.

I picked this one up in late January, or early February. I can't recall as it's been a while but a major plus to this dress is that it has pockets which makes it just that much sweeter.
I grabbed this strapless number a few weeks ago.  I've never owned a strapless dress before so I took a chance and tried it on and it fit like a dream.  The colors are amazing and the length is perfect, not to short and the back has smocking on either side of the zipper to give it a snug fit without being uncomfortably binding.

I just picked this one up a few days ago.  The colors scream summer and actually look really well with my weird super pale olive skin tone.  This dress also has pockets!

The best thing about these three dresses is that I got them all at Target and I saved $5 on each of them with a coupon that they offer on their website bringing the price of each of them to just about $20.  Seriously check out the coupons link at the bottom of Target.com.

All I have left to acquire are some cute tailored shorts and I want to sew up a bunch of  simple skirts in fun colors and prints and my summer wardrobe will be complete all except for shoes that is! But really shoes are a separate post all together.
